With a dedicated team of over a thousand, the Alliance Canada supports hundreds of affiliated local churches across Canada as well as active global outreach ministries in approximately 40 countries.

OPPORTUNITY

The Content Lead serves as a strategic bridge between culture and communication within The Alliance Canada, aligning storytelling with organizational vision and strategy. This role curates and shapes content including stories, reports, event materials, and digital messaging, to reflect a unified voice across platforms and audiences. By translating leadership insights, including President’s processing, into clear and compelling narratives. The Content Lead connects campaigns, events, and communications into a coherent whole. Drawing from existing content and refining it for each context, this role cultivates clarity, energy, and engagement around what God is doing through The Alliance Canada.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy and Messaging

  • Develop and deliver content that communicates the organization’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Curate and refine stories, reports, and event content to reflect a consistent Alliance Canada voice.
  • Translate leadership insights into clear, compelling communications across platforms.
  • Integrate campaigns, events, and communications into a unified narrative.
  • Shape programming content, scripts, and messaging for national and international events and conferences.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.

Cultural Alignment & Collaboration

  • Ensure tone and language align with organizational culture across national and international.
  • Connect all communications across Alliance Ministries and Alliance Services.
  • Collaborate with communications teams, ministry networks, districts, and international team to reinforce consistency.
  • Promote a culture of shared ownership and unity in mission through communication.

Storytelling & Reporting

  • Capture and share stories that reflect God’s work across Canada and globally.
  • Develop reports, campaign updates, and ministry highlights tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ensure storytelling is accessible, celebratory, and representative of local, national and international impact.

Donor & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Create compelling content that strengthens relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Highlight impact stories and project outcomes to demonstrate value and transparency.

Project & Program Narratives

  • Collaborate with internal teams to document and share the stories of key initiatives and programs.
  • Translate complex project details into accessible and engaging content.

Event Content Development

  • Lead the creation of content for organizational events, including speeches, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure event messaging aligns with strategic objectives and audience needs.

Digital Content

  • Oversee content strategy for the organization’s website, ensuring alignment with brand and strategic goals.
  • Collaborating on the development of social media strategy

Reporting & Communications

  • Produce reports and updates for constituents that communicate progress, impact, and strategic direction.
  • Support leadership in preparing communications that reinforce organizational vision.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Degree in communications, journalism, theology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working in faith-based, nonprofit, or ministry settings preferred.
  • Experience in content strategy, communications, or related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning and organizational communications.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
  • Experience with digital platforms, including website content management and social media.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic lens and attention to detail.
  • Jesus-centered and prayerful in approach.
  • Relational, collaborative, and encouraging presence.
  • Able to hold both detail and big-picture narratives together.
  • Passionate about the mission and vision of The Alliance Canada.
