Position Summary:

The Worship Coordinator helps foster a culture of Christ-centered, Spirit-led worship at Bayview Glen Church. This role supports the Worship Pastor in equipping and shepherding our worship teams, ensuring our Sunday services are musically excellent, spiritually vibrant, and welcoming for our congregation. The Worship Coordinator oversees the scheduling, preparation, and development of musicians and vocalists, while also contributing as a worship leader.

This is a part-time role that requires collaboration with the Worship Pastor, Production Team, and other ministry staff to help create meaningful worship gatherings and disciple our team members in both skill and character.

Compensation: Hourly ($22.50 - $24.00 per hour)

Candidate Snapshot:

We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and passionate about supporting the ministry of worship at Bayview Glen. This person loves details, thrives on coordination, and ensures that the right people are in the right places at the right time. While musical ability and worship leadership are important, the key strength of this role is administration and SERVE Team management. The ideal candidate is a team player who communicates well, brings a positive and servant-hearted attitude, and helps create an environment where volunteers can flourish.

Skills & Qualifications:

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Bayview Glen Church
• Demonstrated ability to lead worship vocally and/or instrumentally in a congregational setting
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling, communication, and service planning (experience with Planning Center Online is an asset)
• Musical competence to lead and direct bands/vocalists in rehearsal and service contexts
• Ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on leadership
• Good interpersonal skills; able to build rapport and work well with volunteers, staff, and teams
• Flexible and adaptable; able to problem-solve and respond to changes in service planning
• Teachable, humble, and eager to grow both spiritually and in leadership
• Previous experience in worship ministry (paid or volunteer) is preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Worship Pastor, Production Team, and ministry staff to plan and execute Sunday services, team gatherings, and special events.
• Serve as a worship leader on a regular rotation, helping guide the congregation in worship.
• Plan and facilitate weekly rehearsals and resources alongside the Music Director for the band and vocal team.
• Manage worship team communication and scheduling for worship team members and ensure roles are covered for services.
• Help coordinate the audition and onboarding process for new team members; intentionally recruit and develop volunteers.
• Assist in the selection of songs and development of new music that serves the congregation, balancing various styles and preferences that reflect Bayview’s context.
• Provide various types of administrative support as Bayview continues to grow and expand into campuses.
• Encourage and invest in team members, supporting their growth in both musical ability and spiritual maturity.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Worship Pastor.
