Works closely with: SERVE Team Members, Ministry Staff
Position Summary:
Bayview Glen Church is looking for a gifted individual that will provide support for our staff team through ongoing management of our SERVE platform. This individual will oversee the SERVE onboarding process, develop training to deepen the overall SERVE culture and oversee the development and support of the Next Steps Centre. This individual should have demonstrated experience in administration, team building, and team management.
*This posting is to cover a staff member on parental leave starting October 2025
Compensation: Hourly ($22.50 - $25.00/Hour)

- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timeline
- A Self-starter who can take ownership of projects and workflows
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Expected to regularly attend our worship services and be an active participant in Bayview Glen’s church community
Skills and Capabilities Needed:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ablity to recruit, training, and support SERVE Teams and Ministry Leads
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work on weekends
Qualifications and Education
- Post-secondary education preferred
- 2-3 years of administrative experience
- 1-2 years of event or volunteer coordination experience
- Team building and leadership experience
Primary Responsibilities:
SERVE Process Administration
- Act as the first point of contact for all inquiries regarding SERVE Teams
- Manage the onboarding process for all SERVE Teams, ensuring all certifications, police checks, and training requirements are met
- Track and report SERVE metrics to identify successes and challenges, and provide updates as needed
- Collaborates with the Communications team in keeping the website up to date and the creation and implementation of SERVE campaigns and promotions
- Recruits, trains, and mobiles SERVE team for SERVE oversight
- Manage and submit ministry expenses related to SERVE and Next Steps Centre needs.
Next Steps Centre Oversight
- Recruit, train, and support the Next Steps SERVE Team, ensuring its a welcoming environment that helps people connect with their next step at Bayview Glen Church
- Leadership and oversight of the Next Steps SERVE Team
