Work in collaboration with a multinational team and local believers to transform communities and multiply churches.


Responsibilities

Working in collaboration with a multinational team and local believers the successful candidate

will:

  • Concentrate on extensive study and practice to gain proficiency in the language and culture of the people group. (Training and coaching provided for the employee).
  • Build relationships with non-believers and begin study groups with them
  • Disciple individuals and small groups as they grow in Christlikeness
  • Help local believers and fellowship groups implement church planting methodology
  • Pray and help to foster a movement of prayer


Required Education | Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree | Master’s Degree | Ordination | Portable District License


Preferred Education & Training

Seminary | Technical / Trade

Skills and experience in Church Development are a priority. Additional skills in a technical trade or areas of animal husbandry or agriculture in arid environments would be highly useful and beneficial. Some understanding of principles of contextualization and missiology. Some understanding of Islam.


Required Experience

  • Practical Experience (including current involvement) in Evangelism (initiating spiritual conversations and gospel proclamation) and Discipleship (knowledge and application of different evangelism and discipleship models and practices)
  • Experience in a variety of church-related ministries (e.g. organizing and leading Bible Studies, preaching and teaching the Word, counselling, leading teams and organizing community engagement and outreach events and different church ministries, etc.)
  • Gifts and experience in Hospitality
  • Emotionally Intelligent with high relational skills
  • Skills in verbal and written communications


Preferred Experience

2-year apprenticeship experience with us before coming on full-time
