Discipleship

Partnering with families to disciple children in the faith

Deuteronomy 6:4–9

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and might. Keep these words in your heart, teach them to your children, and share them at home, on the road, and at all times. Bind them on your hand and let them be a sign on your forehead. Write them on your doorposts and gates.”

Deuteronomy 6:4–9 calls us to deeply instill our faith in our children—teaching them about God and nurturing their spiritual journey. Today, the church partners with families to disciple children in their relationship with Christ.

In this section, find tools to understand children’s spiritual needs, learning styles, and how to guide them in their faith. We welcome your feedback on how to enhance each toolbox feature.
