A New Venture in King City, ON!

Great King City new venture is an emerging community, gathering where a growing number of Mandarin-speaking families have recently settled. With limited Mandarin-speaking churches currently in the area, along with ongoing residential development, this group sees a unique opportunity to share the gospel and build relationships. Inspired by the biblical meaning of “Great King City” as Mount Zion and Jerusalem, their name reflects a vision that goes beyond language or ethnicity. Their heart is to partner with Jesus in welcoming people of all cultures and backgrounds, while remaining rooted in mission and focused on discipleship. They desire to share the love of Jesus in this place, strategically located between three larger city centres.

Partnered with Markham Chinese Alliance Church, the CCACA, and the Eastern District of The Alliance Canada, this new venture is launching under the leadership of Toni Ma.

Prayer Requests

You are invited to pray along with the leadership of this new venture as the begin this new season. 1. Pray for Pastors and Ministry co-workers: May the Lord grant them wisdom and strength, that they may rely on Him in their service and lead brothers and sisters to grow in the truth. 2. Ask the Holy Spirit to give the team a clear vision and a heart for unity, so that they may experience God's guidance and presence throughout the preparation and development process. 3. Pray for community outreach and evangelism: may the Lord open doors in the community and draw hearts to Himself, so that more people may come to know and trust in Jesus Christ.
