The Alliance Canada Leadership Training Fund

The Alliance Canada Leadership Training fund exists to support the formation and development of leaders who serve and strengthen both our denomination and the broader Canadian church. For more information, please contact us.
Deadline to apply is January 15, 2026.

Eligibility:
This funding is available for maturing Christ-followers who have a recognized or are exploring a vocational call to ministry and want to pursue their first post-secondary theological degree at a qualifying institution.

Students who check all the following boxes are eligible to apply:

  • Students enrolled in their first theological, or ministerial degree.
  • Students enrolled in a full-time degree program with a participating church hub school.
  • Members, or those pursuing membership in an Alliance church.
  • Canadian Citizens, or Permanent Residents who currently reside in Canada.

Additional requirements:

  • Proof of enrolment at a participating church hub school
  • Reference from a pastor
  • Personal written testimony and a call to ministry
  • Interview with a National Ministry Centre staff member

More Details

  • Grants will be prioritized based on full-time course load, with successful applicants receiving $500 per course, to a maximum grant of $2,000
  • The funds will be sent directly to the institution on behalf of the student.
  • Grants will also cover most expenses related to a Leadership network event that all applicants who accept a grant are expected to attend, including travel, accommodation, and meal expenses. (more details of the event to come)
  • Recipients are required to maintain a full-time course load (full-time is a minimum of 3 courses per semester) (submitting a transcript for each semester), and a GPA of 2.5 in order to qualify each year.
  • T4A slips will be provided to all grant recipients.
  • Approval for grants are made prior to the beginning of each academic year. Requests for future funds require re-applying on an annual basis. Students can reapply up to 4 times.
