Current Priorities
Reach out to and build friendships with university students, workers, and Vietnamese immigrants in Taiwan so that they trust us, then we can preach the Gospel story and share our personal testimonies of how we were born again in Jesus Christ and have become new creations.
We also have ongoing visiting prisoners ministry at the Detention Center in Nantou for witness Jesus and distributing tracts; and occasionally go to Guishan Prison for preaching the Gospel and discipleship. As we are networking with other Mission agency partners, funds are needed for visitation of unbelievers in those locations and for general evangelistic outreaches.
Vision
- We pray for 10 Vietnamese people to be saved per year through the outreach ministries of the Gospel Centre.
- Bible study with 10 Vietnamese students so they can receive Christ and become His disciples.
- Help Home of Peace Vietnamese Gospel Center in Chiayi, Douliu Gospel Center, and other local churches to develop Vietnamese ministries.
- Monthly visit the Nantou Detention to witness Jesus and distribute tracts. Those who accept Christ will return to Vietnam and can continue growing their faith & spread the gospel to others.
Bio
I received Jesus Christ and was baptized in September 1989 in a refugee camp in Palawan, Philippines. I met and became acquainted with Ms. Lieu, a baptized believer at age 14, when we worshipped together in the church. We got married on October 4, 1992, during the time we had been refugees in the Philippines. After immigrating to Canada in 1993, I started to serve as an elder in the Ottawa VN Church until October 2006, when Lieu completely gave up her life for Jesus Christ. We moved to Kitchener in 2006 to study at Emmanuel Bible College. Chinh became the ministry coordinator of the Vietnamese Alliance Church in London and pastored the church, while he continued his studies. I graduated from Emmanuel Bible College in April 2014 and was ordained a pastor in May 2018.
Many thanks to God for Lieu worked diligently in factories to help support her family financially, supporting my ministry, visitation, and participating in a weekly prayer meeting and service. God enlarged our vision for the Vietnamese Diaspora in Taiwan, and I felt called to replace IWs Rev. Thu Nguyen & Mrs. for they would plan to retire. My God image seems to be characterized by ‘Saviour’, ‘Creator’, and ‘Care-giver’. Personal spiritual exercises for the development of my faith: devotion, worship, prayer, reading and meditating on the Scripture, and resting with God on the Sabbath day. In terms of corporate spiritual exercise, I am committed to working closely together in a spirit of teamwork, leadership, and group dynamics. My spiritual gifts include discerning of Spirits, teaching, preaching, and caring for others.
