Current Priorities

The Petyrs will be in Canada (summer, 2019) and would love to share in your church, small group, or personally over a cup of coffee about what is happening these days in Europe!

Vision

Kym is a contemporary-realist painter, representing Christ among some of the least-engaged people (artists) in Europe. Kyrt ministers through the practice of spiritual direction and mentoring, teaching/training leaders, facilitating retreats, and producing a weekly spiritual-formation guide. He is also part of the IW leadership team in that country.

They desire to see artists come to the LORD and to paint for His glory. They would also like to see the frail evangelical church there experience a sweeping movement of God.

Bio

Kym, at just four years of age, sensed an undeniable call from God to serve as a missionary. Kyrt experienced a dramatic call to missions when he was eighteen. Years later they met while attending Foothills Alliance Church in Calgary, and were married there.

The Petyrs were pursing creative avenues of ministry when God opened the doors of Europe, where they have served since 2012.

Prayer Requests

Pray for Europe’s artists, most of whom are antagonistic towards Christians. Pray for wisdom and discernment as we minister in uncomfortable and often difficult areas of society. Pray for our children—Sydney, Mateo, and Isaiah—for school, health, and that they might follow the Lord all the days of their lives.
