Current Priorities

We are learning the language and culture of the Amber People. We do this with relational living, helping with health education, and with church community development. We desire to forge friendships, to learn more of the Holy Spirit’s work in the hearts of the Amber People, and to help and encourage them.

Vision

Develop friendships with the local people and through spiritual conversations introduce them to the redemptive story of Jesus Christ. We long to see a movement amongst our LRPG of Jesus followers who are Christ‐centred, Spirit‐ empowered, and mission‐focused.

Bio

Jordie and Lisa both were raised by nurturing parents who follow Jesus and attended Alliance churches. They both were inspired by Alliance international workers. Jordie experienced childhood abuse, and as a young adult, Jesus saved him from deep pain and addiction. During this season, Jordie discovered that Jesus was asking him to help the least-reached people to know him. Lisa’s relationship with Jesus grew during youth and young adulthood, especially during a trip to San Francisco working with marginalized and impoverished people. Lisa’s journey as a nurse and her time on an internship in North Africa revealed that God was calling her to practice community health internationally.
