Cafe Ministry (Acheson)

A new venture in Acheson, AB!

In partnership with Crosspoint Alliance Church, a local Acheson cafe, and the Western District, Brenden Sharp has been commissioned to focus on cultivating a new venture in the Acheson, West Edmonton, and Spruce Grove area. At a time where many are feeling disillusioned with traditional church, this initiative seeks to create a new, gospel-centered community where people can encounter Jesus.

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches (Matthew 13:31-32). 

Brenden's vision is to foster a community of belonging, spiritual curiosity, and discipleship. This work is rooted in collaboration, hospitality, and a deep desire to see lives transformed, and the area renewed through the gospel. The community of Acheson is highly industrial, where people come to work and then leave to go home. There is an identified need to foster a greater sense of place and connection. A portion of Brenden's role will be focused on establishing greater community relationships with local businesses and ministries in the area.
