Meet the Homa's...

As Discerning Individuals, Slava & Yuliia are supported in partnership with Midland Alliance Church and the Central District of the Alliance Canada. With a shared vision, they are dedicating this season of discernment to exploring how they can serve more in Canada, in Ontario. The Homas have a deep desire to be used of God during this time, and seek to be a resource for peace, hope, and encouragement.
“For over 20 years, we have served together as missionaries both in Ukraine and abroad. Throughout our journey, we have witnessed the mighty works of God that began with the call to “go and make disciples of all nations,” as commanded in Matthew 28:19. Our commitment to this calling has motivated us to serve faithfully in ministry, and today we continue this work in Canada with a renewed sense of purpose.” ~ Slava & Yuliia
Driven by this vision, Slava & Yuliia are holding prayer meetings focused on peace in Ukraine, promoting a spirit of intercession and hope for those who are suffering. They are also reaching out to congregations in Southern Ontario with significant Ukrainian, Russian, and Turkish populations (as they served in Turkey for 2 years), seeking to build bridges of connection and faith with our brothers and sisters in Canada.
Approaching this season with hopeful anticipation, Slava & Yuliia are open to God’s leading—trusting that their experiences here may one day pave the way for a return to ministry abroad—and are guided by the following words in 1 Corinthians 2:4:
My speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. (1 Cor. 2:4)
