Ogden Community

A New Venture in Calgary, AB!

This new venture is rooted in a desire to see the Ogden community in Calgary experience the renewal and hope of Jesus through a faithful, welcoming presence in the neighbourhood. Led by an Connie Jakob, the community began to emerge back in 2024, through intentional Sunday meals and other creative expressions. This community has continued to grow through holistic community engagement, including meals, markets, arts, fitness, and neighbourhood events. Rather than beginning with programs, the ministry seeks to listen to Ogden, respond to real needs, build meaningful relationships, and create places where people can belong and contribute. Through this approach, they are seeing people who may never engage with traditional church discover connection, community, and the love and hospitality of Jesus.

This new venture is supported in partnership with First Alliance Church, and the Western District of The Alliance Canada.
